The opening ceremony of the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX and the 14th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment Securex Caspian has been held today at Baku Expo Center.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Vugar Mustafayev, Minister of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Following the ceremony, the participants and guests of the exhibition took part in the VIP tour.
The 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX, the largest event in the region dedicated to the defense industry, is held at the Baku Expo Center on September 24-26. Simultaneously, the 14th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment Securex Caspian will also be organised.
Nearly 270 participants from 40 countries are expected to take part at the event. In addition to Azerbaijan, the participating countries include the Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, UK, USA, and others. This year's exhibitions have been refreshed with new companies, which make up 34% of the total number of participants. Among the participating countries, Hungary, Qatar, Singapore, and Slovakia are new additions to the exhibitions compared to 2022.
14 countries will be represented by national pavilions, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, China, Italy, Israel, Hungary, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, and Ukraine. Compared to 2022, the number of the exhibition participants has increased by 32%.
Traditionally, “ADEX” attracts high-level guests and delegations from various countries. This year, 53 official delegations from 27 countries, comprising over 300 representatives, are expected to visit the exhibition, including delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bahrain, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Georgia, Jordan, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Somalia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Croatia, and Vietnam.
The exhibition is held on the initiative and with the organisational support of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and support of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The organizer of the exhibition is the Caspian Event Organisers, and its international partner, Caspian Event Management.
The gold sponsors of the ADEX exhibition are the companies Baykar and Israel Aerospace Industries, while the bronze sponsor is Barzan Holdings.
The Securex Caspian exhibition, held in parallel with ADEX, will showcase promising models of equipment, comprehensive security systems, and weapons for law enforcement, border, rescue, firefighting, and special services.
The “Securex Caspian” exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan Republic, and, for the first time, the Special State Protection Service. In 2024, the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan will also participate in the “Securex Caspian” exhibition with its own stand.
