This year, we celebrate the 100th jubilee of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has signed a decree, declaring that the year 2023 shall be celebrated as "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in our country. The National Leader played an important role in the formation of Azerbaijan's exhibition industry; it was but him who put forward the initiative to hold international exhibitions in our country. The first ever, branded Caspian Oil&Gas, happily coincided with the development and announcement of the National Leader-drawn new oil strategy in 1994.
The tree planting event has been organized by the Azerbaijan Exhibition Organisers Association in order to commemorate Heydar Aliyev's anniversary and show that his planting and environmental initiatives do live on.
Besides, such events promote the restoration of ecological balance and environment protection and help enrich the atmosphere with oxygen; they are designed to raise people's awareness about the protection of vegetation and call on them to be more sensitive to environmental issues and act accordingly.
